"I am writing to request the 2020 Scripture Datebook. One year from now, I’ll be out prison! I still don’t know where I'm going, but I turn it over to God’s hands. I’ve been here since April of 2014. Your devotionals have helped me every year since. If ever I was down, troubled, or discouraged, your choice for a Scripture verse that day was very encouraging. Thank you once again. God bless you." -Orville, U.S.A.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the reading materials that you have faithfully donated to our chapel at Everglades Correctional Institution. The Datebooks were well received and our inmates express their special gratitude for your thoughtfulness. Please keep us in mind for future donations and may the Lord bless you in wisdom, prudence, love, and all His amazing grace.”
-Alex L., FL, U.S.A. "I took a box of WMP's Bible Study of John to Honduras. I just heard that 90 of them made it into a women's prison near San Pedro Sula. The women were so excited to have these in their possession. I am headed to Honduras later this fall and am hoping to visit this group."
-Roger W., Feed the Hungry “I was arrested on February 14, 2019 for my sins. I went to the Bible study at our prison chapel and found your 2019 Datebook. I use it each morning to start my day in prayer. All the verses are so uplifting and bring me closer to Jesus. I often thought I knew Jesus until I finally opened my heart to Him in prison. I thank you so much for the work you do to help save our souls from the pit. My cellmate and I do Bible study together when in our cell. I believe that all your Bible study books would really help us. If you would send me some booklets, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for all your help! Blessings!” -James C., RI, U.S.A. “Dearest Kindred Spirit, Perhaps you have never spent an entire evening of emptiness starkly staring at the ceiling of a chilly cell block. Perhaps that ceiling never stared right back, terrorizing you until you were driven to cower in shameful fear beneath a haggardly thin blanket. And perhaps, still, that blanket wasn’t enough to muffle the ceiling’s scornful curses at you for every trespass you ever committed; and not just those for which you are currently sentenced. Then you can’t possibly know the level of mercy and grace felt when Chaplain Mike shares the inspirational and hope-filled literature which you have so lovingly gifted our prison chapel. Bless you and thank you for your kindness.” -Stephen L., Massachusetts, U.S.A. “I am a volunteer chaplain at Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, MS. Thanks so much for sending me the Datebooks. I received them and passed out about 100 already to the inmates. One inmate was jumping for joy while receiving one because he had been on lockdown for over six months. Therefore, he could not buy stamps to request a Datebook directly from you. Thank you WMP and thank You, Jesus! I would like to request additional booklets to be handed out to the inmates. There are twelve buildings in Unit 29, with an average of 150 inmates per building. The inmates always request additional reading materials from me. Hence this request." -Amala D., U.S.A. “Enclosed is my request for your complimentary 2019 Datebook. I received the 2018 Datebook upon my arrival to prison. God has used it to give me comfort and hope, each and every day. Even the darkest days can be brightened when I read the simple, concise Scriptures for each day. Thank you for making it available to us, the forgotten of the world. In addition to the Datebook, I would like to request A Bible Study on Romans. I read a lot here in prison, mostly spiritual literature. I’d like to get as much as possible from you. I have no one on the outside and look forward to any mail from you. Thanks again for all that you are doing! You are in my prayers and I thank God for your work. God bless you!” -Antonio T., FL “I am a 19 year-old youthful offender currently incarcerated for armed robbery at Lake City Correctional Facility. First off, I really want to thank all of you for what you are doing, including reading this handwritten letter at this very moment. It means a lot, seriously. I had a cell mate who had your Datebook and he let me borrow it whenever I asked. It’s crazy how accurate and helpful it was to me. It seemed like it was almost written for me, individually, for my specific troubles, on a daily basis. It really helped me see how God works. I have a small pocket Bible and read it over and over as much as I can, every day. I saw in your Datebook that we could order study booklets! That’s amazing, that you all provide this to people who are mostly looked down upon. Thank you! If you can, and if God wills, it would be amazing to be blessed with some study literature, especially the one on John, for I’m trying to get more in touch with my spiritual side. Thank you so much, and peace be multiplied to you!” -William A., U.S.A.
“Hello WMP! My name is Jerry. I am currently an inmate at Century Correctional Institution in Century, Florida. I have a 2018 Datebook and I must thank you for providing these for the prisoners. The book is so helpful in so many ways. The calendar and future calendars really help us stay attached to the real world. In a lot of the housing units, they don’t even have clocks let alone calendars. Being able to keep track of important days, sequentially, reminds us that we are still human. It also reminds us to maintain our sense of duty and responsibility instead of being reverted back to a dependent childlike state. And the inspirational Scripture always seems to be specifically for me at the specific time I read it. That’s the power of the Living Word. Right now I am in confinement under protective custody after being attacked and beaten by one of the resident prison gangs called the Bloods, but as I’m in here I find myself with a lot of time to focus and really pay attention to things. If I could receive your other publications, I would really appreciate it. I counted seventeen [booklets] that were advertised in the middle section of the Datebook. If possible, may I have my own personal copies of each one? These study materials would really help me a lot and really enlighten me on a lot of questions I have. Thank you, WMP." -Jerry W., Florida, USA “For over thirteen years I have treasured these little Datebooks! I misplaced 2005-2007, or lost them, but I have 2008-2017. I write a prayer every morning on each day. I have gone back and read them and saw how God had answered by prayers and how quickly. I even went to our church and witnessed and showed the entire church how I had prayed on one day and how God had answered my prayers in two or three days. When people saw this little book in my hands, they would say, ‘Richard must have something to witness about! He brought his little prayer book!’ I just wanted to share how this little Datebook has influenced so many people over the years at this unit. I have all the issues, kept safely in my locker that not only have God’s Word in them, but hundreds of answered prayers. When I get out, I will take them to my home church and share or witness about them to our own congregation. Thanks for the blessings! I cherish every one. God bless you.” Richard M., Texas |
