Every Home for Christ Mexico has developed ministries among marginalized people such as prisoners, indigents, prostitutes, immigrants, and those who are despised and lack love. Juan, from Guamuchil, is one whom Jesus found. “We have been studying this little book, Who Do You Say That I Am?. It has been very beautiful knowing who Jesus is, why He came to earth, and how we can live our life in the best way and receive eternal life. Every study has been enriching for my life. It was due to these studies that I managed to approach Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness for my sins and accept Him as my Savior.” In Mexico, Susan K. has a system that she encourages churches to follow. “The Way to God is used for evangelism. The booklets, Victory in Jesus Christ, Help from Above, The Power of God, and How to Know God are all used for building the faith of members. The Bible studies in Genesis, John, and Romans are used to teach the congregation. I encourage this simple pattern so the whole congregation becomes solid together and are on the same wavelength regarding what God did for us and how we are to live.” The result is that the congregations have a desire to get out on the streets to evangelize and share the gospel. Difficult circumstances can’t stop the advance of God’s Word. Merced hands out Scripture booklets from World Missionary Press on the U.S-Mexico border. It can be dangerous in Mexico, but God protects him, and he serves joyfully. Jim evangelizes in Mexico. In the U.S, news often focuses on the troubles in Mexico. But Jim gets to see God at work every day. Pastors and missionaries walk the streets, the plazas, and door-to-door. They put the Word of God into the hands of thousands of people. Jim believes the most powerful way to reach people is by simply handing them a Scripture booklet. Many times he doesn’t even say a word. The Spirit of God moves with just the written Word. Even mafia bosses have been transformed by the Gospel in Mexico, and some of them are now pastors. "Mexico EHC Staff join their gratitude to WMP for the faithful support we receive represented in millions of printed messages that go to the hand of the same quantity of Mexicans eager to know that they are not alone. That there is a lovely and heavenly Father who cares for them.
For this, we express our deep gratitude to everyone at WMP for being such a great blessing to our ministry in the task of going home to home, in villages, small towns, and sites in mountains, deserts, forests, rivers and coasts. THANK YOU WORLD MISSIONARY PRESS!!!!" “Dear Friends, As you know, after two years of COVID-19 things in the world are a little different. During the crisis, people didn’t get out. As a result, there were less people to witness to in the plazas and streets. Our ministry leadership (at Mexico for Jesus) woke up to the reality that just about everyone has a cell phone – using the internet, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and so on. So during the crisis we started sending the Scripture booklet, How to Know God, to their WhatsApp, Twitter and so on. You would not believe the response! People started responding, so we started small groups via Zoom to study the Scripture booklet. From there, many have gone on to study the New Testament. Some have completed that and are now in the process of going through the Old Testament. God has helped us to invent new ways to make disciples, on the internet, here in person, and across Mexico.” —Jim J., Mexico In Mexico, The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ was given to a lady along with a personal testimony, as she sat in anguish outside a hospital. She had just received a diagnosis of breast cancer. Several weeks later, the lady euphorically reported, “I do not have cancer! God healed me!” She had prayerfully studied the booklet and has now received Christ as Savior and become part of a discipleship group.
"I am a missionary pastor. My husband and I set out to preach using a loudspeaker throughout the streets in the Cardenista neighborhood, handing out Scripture booklets to all who allowed us to approach them. At some point, a woman allowed us to speak to her about the plan of salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. We gave her the WMP Scripture booklet “Praise the Lord”, and we explained to her why we should praise the Lord. She told us that her husband abandoned her and her small children, which frustrated her greatly. What little she had been taught about God was not enough for her to retain her faith. She recognized that moving away from God was the worst error in her life and asked God for forgiveness. After talking and sharing words of hope for her life, she called her daughter over to listen. They both received Christ in their hearts as their Savior. We continue sharing the Word and praying together with them. With Christ in her heart, she now feels peace, hope, and a great desire to live as much as God allows, walking and trusting only in Him." -Abigail M., Mexico Along the US/Mexico border, many WMP distributors are sharing with pastors in Mexico and meeting people coming across the border or waiting in groups on one side or the other. Here people are looking. Here God seeks. The love of Jesus is shared by caring for physical needs as well as providing words of truth and hope. Many years ago, a man felt called to Mexico but was unsure just how to proceed. He began by crossing the border day after day, often just walking and giving out World Missionary Press Scripture booklets. Then he moved into Mexico and began sharing the booklets wherever he could. Year by year the opportunities grew as pastors realized there was a source for reliable, Bible-based literature that could help their own congregations reach their communities. Over the years millions of booklets have been received and shared through this man that at one time carried a single box of booklets across the border on foot. Praise God for all He is doing to reach the people of Mexico! "My life was in hell when my husband drank,” said Anita. “There was nothing but physical aggression and he did not provide for our home.” Anita saw no way out of the continuing cycle of hopelessness and despair. But God saw the need of this family in Mexico and sent visitors to their door who brought the powerful Word of God into their home. Joyfully, Anita and her husband Francisco accepted the gift of God’s grace and salvation, bringing peace and new life. “Now that Jesus Christ is in control of my home,” said Anita, “I now know what it means to have peace. My husband treats me well and provides for our needs; before he did not have work. I thank my heavenly Father for the blessing we have received and, as the Word says, ‘As for me and my family, we shall serve Jehovah.’ ” |
