“Dearest Kindred Spirit, Perhaps you have never spent an entire evening of emptiness starkly staring at the ceiling of a chilly cell block. Perhaps that ceiling never stared right back, terrorizing you until you were driven to cower in shameful fear beneath a haggardly thin blanket. And perhaps, still, that blanket wasn’t enough to muffle the ceiling’s scornful curses at you for every trespass you ever committed; and not just those for which you are currently sentenced. Then you can’t possibly know the level of mercy and grace felt when Chaplain Mike shares the inspirational and hope-filled literature which you have so lovingly gifted our prison chapel. Bless you and thank you for your kindness.”

“I am a volunteer chaplain at Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, MS. Thanks so much for sending me the Datebooks. I received them and passed out about 100 already to the inmates. One inmate was jumping for joy while receiving one because he had been on lockdown for over six months. Therefore, he could not buy stamps to request a Datebook directly from you. Thank you WMP and thank You, Jesus! I would like to request additional booklets to be handed out to the inmates. There are twelve buildings in Unit 29, with an average of 150 inmates per building. The inmates always request additional reading materials from me. Hence this request."

“Enclosed is my request for your complimentary 2019 Datebook. I received the 2018 Datebook upon my arrival to prison. God has used it to give me comfort and hope, each and every day. Even the darkest days can be brightened when I read the simple, concise Scriptures for each day. Thank you for making it available to us, the forgotten of the world. In addition to the Datebook, I would like to request A Bible Study on Romans. I read a lot here in prison, mostly spiritual literature. I’d like to get as much as possible from you. I have no one on the outside and look forward to any mail from you. Thanks again for all that you are doing! You are in my prayers and I thank God for your work. God bless you!”

“I am a 19 year-old youthful offender currently incarcerated for armed robbery at Lake City Correctional Facility. First off, I really want to thank all of you for what you are doing, including reading this handwritten letter at this very moment. It means a lot, seriously. I had a cell mate who had your Datebook and he let me borrow it whenever I asked. It’s crazy how accurate and helpful it was to me. It seemed like it was almost written for me, individually, for my specific troubles, on a daily basis. It really helped me see how God works. I have a small pocket Bible and read it over and over as much as I can, every day. I saw in your Datebook that we could order study booklets! That’s amazing, that you all provide this to people who are mostly looked down upon. Thank you! If you can, and if God wills, it would be amazing to be blessed with some study literature, especially the one on John, for I’m trying to get more in touch with my spiritual side. Thank you so much, and peace be multiplied to you!” -William A., U.S.A.
“Hello WMP! My name is Jerry. I am currently an inmate at Century Correctional Institution in Century, Florida. I have a 2018 Datebook and I must thank you for providing these for the prisoners. The book is so helpful in so many ways. The calendar and future calendars really help us stay attached to the real world. In a lot of the housing units, they don’t even have clocks let alone calendars. Being able to keep track of important days, sequentially, reminds us that we are still human. It also reminds us to maintain our sense of duty and responsibility instead of being reverted back to a dependent childlike state. And the inspirational Scripture always seems to be specifically for me at the specific time I read it. That’s the power of the Living Word. Right now I am in confinement under protective custody after being attacked and beaten by one of the resident prison gangs called the Bloods, but as I’m in here I find myself with a lot of time to focus and really pay attention to things. If I could receive your other publications, I would really appreciate it. I counted seventeen [booklets] that were advertised in the middle section of the Datebook. If possible, may I have my own personal copies of each one? These study materials would really help me a lot and really enlighten me on a lot of questions I have.
Thank you, WMP."

“For over thirteen years I have treasured these little Datebooks! I misplaced 2005-2007, or lost them, but I have 2008-2017. I write a prayer every morning on each day. I have gone back and read them and saw how God had answered by prayers and how quickly. I even went to our church and witnessed and showed the entire church how I had prayed on one day and how God had answered my prayers in two or three days. When people saw this little book in my hands, they would say, ‘Richard must have something to witness about! He brought his little prayer book!’ I just wanted to share how this little Datebook has influenced so many people over the years at this unit. I have all the issues, kept safely in my locker that not only have God’s Word in them, but hundreds of answered prayers. When I get out, I will take them to my home church and share or witness about them to our own congregation. Thanks for the blessings! I cherish every one. God bless you.” Richard M., Texas
The end is in sight! Mexico Every Home for Christ is poised to finish their 10-year campaign to bring the Gospel to every home in Mexico – a country of 130 million people – by the end of 2018. World Missionary Press’ Hope for Mexico project is raising funds for three semi-trailers full of Scripture materials to help finish this task.
Reaching every home includes visiting prisoners where they live. During her time with us, Mexico EHC National Director Gloria Silva Lopez shared about their ministry in Topo Chico prison – sharing the love of Christ with some of Mexico’s most violent criminals. The above video is an excerpt from Sister Gloria’s WMP chapel service, including video from Topo Chico prison.
Praise Him Anyway!
I woke up this morning
Praising God for this new day.
I didn’t need to check the weather,
I praised Him anyway!
Nothing had really changed overnight
from its standing yesterday,
But there was no need to fret or worry,
I just praised Him anyway!
I have yet to have a problem
or a sickness come my way
That is bigger than my Father,
as I have praised Him anyway!
It seems that when I praise Him
I can actually hear Him say,
“I have made you more than a conqueror
As you’ve praised Me anyway!”
“In the world you shall have trials,
and tribulations come your way
But who can be against you when I am for you?
Just praise Me anyway!”
So, let me glorify You, Father,
in all that I do or say.
And please help me be more willing
To praise You anyway!

“I met my youngest daughter when she was coming out from school with a small booklet, Bukwasho Bwa Kufma Mwiulu [Help From Above], in Kaonde language. I was very surprised to see where she got it, but she told me that she just picked it up on the roadside. I’m a preacher and secretary of Prison Fellowship Zambia with six prisons under my supervision. I have no tracts to use and distribute to our inmates who are behind bars. Those who are there have no access of coming out to go and hear the word of salvation. It might be better if you can send me some to use and whenever you have some [booklets], you may use our address.” -Wilson N., Zambia, Africa
“I am 27 years old and I am in prison for the first time in my life. I am serving a 5 ½ year sentence in this prison. I am a new-born child of Jesus Christ. I gave my life to our Lord Jesus Christ a few days ago. I am very happy about the decision I made. It is because of you that I was able to make that decision and give my life to Christ. I want to thank you so much for that. A few weeks ago, my cellmate who went home, left me one of your Scripture booklets, called Help From Above. It’s in that same booklet that I found your contact. Not only did this booklet save my life but it also taught me about being faithful, loving, and caring to the ones I love. So, today in this letter, I want to ask if you can send me some more different booklets, please? I also wanted to ask you for help, the type of help that will help me keep doing God’s work and keep building my relationship with Christ, family, friends, and loved ones. I am eager not only to learn but to live a faithful, merciful, loving, courageous, and joyful life for God and the people around me. So, I want to ask if you can please send me any type of free resources that you might have or can offer to me that will help me keep my relationship with God and my family and friends and people I come across through my days of living. So, I wanted to see if you can please send me (that is, if you have 14) free Bible lessons, life-changing booklets, Bible studies, sermons, literature, correspondence courses, even daily devotions of any kind, please. I would also like to ask if you will send me more of your Scripture booklets other than the one I have. Please keep me in your prayers and keep in contact with me. Thank you for receiving and reading my letter. I send you, and your family, my blessings. I hope that God continues to keep blessing you guys. Thanks and God bless.” -Maximino M., Jessup, MD (U.S.A.)
