“My mother used to share WMP Scripture booklets until she passed two years ago. I promised her I would pass out whatever booklets she had when she died. I know that everyone hears about the Lord differently and if this can help people come to the Lord, I will do what I can to further the Kingdom. I will be handing them out when providing meals to the homeless at a day shelter. Thank you for providing them for me.” -Jan V., FL, U.S.A.

“I lead a Christian group of nine Christians who visit the three largest nursing homes in South Orange County, California, every Friday Night. We hand out your booklet called The Way to God to many patients in these three nursing homes, with great success. I am enclosing a love gift to help with your expenses. We lead many patients to the Lord with your prayer on page 29. We ask that the patients repeat the prayer out loud and many do. I’m almost out of the booklets you mailed to me about a year ago. Could you please mail to me a box of 500 booklets entitled The Way to God? Thank you again.”
-Will A., U.S.A. “I lead a team to the remote areas of the western province of Zambia every year. We have had amazing success evangelizing the lost sheep. Last year we had over seven hundred people saved. So far, seven churches have been planted and they continue to grow. Many of these people never heard of the name of Jesus prior to our arrival. We are walking in many of these areas and are limited (in regards to what we can take with us) due to the weight, bulk, and cost to carry very many Bibles. Having Scripture booklets to pass out has been a real blessing." -Jess N., U.S.A. -A recent note from a long-time WMP friend who was placing an order
“We have two teams that will be using these booklets. One team of 17 students spending 28 days working in the mountains of Peru. Another team will be working, 24 students in Panama. Both teams will be doing street evangelism, ministering in schools, marketplace, orphanages, etc. We thank God for World Missionary Press. This is our 25th anniversary. We have sent over 13,000 missionaries into 52 countries carrying your booklets and have seen thousands upon thousands come to Christ.” -Walker M., U.S.A. EHC Mexico's National Director, Gloria Silva Lopez would like to thank every WMP Donor who is making it possible to reach every home in Mexico! Amazing things are happening as EHC teams share the Gospel from house-to-house, on the streets, in places where drug abuse and crime rates are high, and in strategic places where people, like every one of us, are in desperate need of Jesus! “For over thirteen years I have treasured these little Datebooks! I misplaced 2005-2007, or lost them, but I have 2008-2017. I write a prayer every morning on each day. I have gone back and read them and saw how God had answered by prayers and how quickly. I even went to our church and witnessed and showed the entire church how I had prayed on one day and how God had answered my prayers in two or three days. When people saw this little book in my hands, they would say, ‘Richard must have something to witness about! He brought his little prayer book!’ I just wanted to share how this little Datebook has influenced so many people over the years at this unit. I have all the issues, kept safely in my locker that not only have God’s Word in them, but hundreds of answered prayers. When I get out, I will take them to my home church and share or witness about them to our own congregation. Thanks for the blessings! I cherish every one. God bless you.” Richard M., Texas “We are on furlough from Costa Rica. I came across a few hundred of these booklets in a closet in our camp in Costa Rica. I read through a booklet and loved how it presented the Gospel. We used these booklets in our ministry—evangelism and medical outreach. It was amazing to see God work. We had distributed over 400 booklets to the people of Costa Rica and refugees and saw in a year over 200 people making decisions for Christ." -Robert B., Canada “I have been working with Liberian children whose parents claimed they are Muslim. These parents are not readers and they want to learn to read and write English. Last week one Muslim woman got saved after reading the Word and now she is reading every day. She and I prayed that more Muslim and [other] unbelievers will come to know that Jesus is Lord. So we will use your booklets as guide books for learning English. Thank you for your donation.” Kim-Mai T., Pennsylvania, U.S.A. A Vacation Like No Other!
International (MNN) — Are you planning a vacation this summer? Some “me time” to recoup before hitting the grind again? Rest is important, that’s true. But one Canadian missionary couple is challenging the way we do vacation. Helen Williams of World Missionary Press says they met this couple a few years back when they began distributing their Scripture booklets around the world. We are keeping their names anonymous for their privacy. The distributor and his wife have passed out booklets in Pakistan, Malawi, Trinidad, Suriname, Guyana, and the French Guiana. Williams says his passion for the ministry is intense: “He keeps saying to us, ‘Just plain and honestly share the Good News, let God do the convincing work in their lives there. Just keep telling the story, keep giving out the Word, keep at it wherever.’ And he does it with such enthusiasm in every possible way.” Wherever they go, this couple continues to see opportunities to share — even when it’s on their vacation. In fact, they are extremely intentional when, every fall, they take a cruise. Next to their vacation attire, they pack copies of the Jesus Film and Scripture booklets from World Missionary Press. You see, while they are taking a break from their usual work, this couple recognizes that Christians never need to take a break from sharing the Gospel. You never know who you’re going to meet on a cruise, especially an extended cruise visiting the Caribbean. But thanks to the multiple languages the Scripture booklets are printed in, you can be pretty well-prepared. The last cruise they took had about 4,000 people on it. The distributor preached 22 messages in 35 days. He was able to share the Gospel with all the workers on the cruise, many of the passengers, and inhabitants on the islands the ship stopped at. “He would have Sunday services, he had Bible studies every few days, and passengers responded and the crew. And what’s really neat about this is the feedback is just encouraging,” Williams says. The cook on a cruise ship When anyone shares the Gospel, or simply gives someone a booklet full of Scripture, they never know what’s going to come of it. And even if a life was changed, they may never hear of it. But through his ministry, the distributor has been able to see God working. He received a call from a friend one day who told him a story about another man he met at church recently. The man, his friend said, used to be a cook on a cruise ship. When he was still working on the cruise ship, someone gave him Scripture and shared the Gospel with him. The former cook said it changed his life. It turns out, the man who shared the booklet is this same distributor. When he heard the story, he said, “’You see, this is how it’s done. I will never see that man again in this world. But the work of the Spirit was done.’” The snowball effect Not only has this simple ministry touched the lives of those who previously didn’t know about Jesus, but it’s inspiring other Christians to get involved. We hope it will inspire you, too. A while back, the couple received a call from some friends in Hawaii they had met on a cruise. They wanted to do a similar outreach with their own vacation and began distributing Scripture booklets. Another couple from Australia, after a different cruise, called up the distributor to learn how to get involved with outreach to Muslims in Pakistan. But, it didn’t stop there. The man called again to get materials for outreach to Muslims in Australia. “It just snowballs,” Williams says. By putting a spin on the traditional vacation, this couple has had an international impact. So, what about you? Maybe you don’t preach sermons on a cruise ship. But what if you just reach out to someone you meet, and hand them a booklet with the Gospel? “Wherever we are, no matter what we’re doing, the Scripture booklets, particularly from World Missionary Press, are things you can share with someone — they take it and if they read it, they read it. If they don’t, they don’t, but maybe they will later. And you’ve shared the Gospel just in the ease of conversation and getting to know other people,” Williams says. “We had another container with booklets, 40-foot this time. It came with more than two million booklets from World Missionary Press, everything paid for, up to the storage rooms. What a blessing, dear friends! We are so blessed with our partnership with WMP. God is so good to us, and we do know that He loves the lost in Madagascar. We printed a special tract for the festive season, with stress on a salvation message and that a Saviour was born for us, not so much [focused] on Christmas but on Christ. We praise the Lord that we visited more than 161,000 homes in six cities in three provinces during December. All this was done before Christmas Day. What a joy, dear friends! God is so good to us. So many people responded positively to the gospel message. I think I can say, as we look at reports from our distributors, this was the best-ever distribution project we’ve had. Of the 161,000 + people who received the gospel message, 12,329 responded positively to the way of salvation message. In general, we use 1+1 of WMP booklets and an additional tract printed for the season, depending on the time of the year. Our next project will be Passover, and it will take place halfway down on our west coast—a large city and surrounding villages. We plan to visit 80,000 homes.” -Dries D., Madagascar |
